Blood Crystals

During the Godsrain from Gorum's death, both silver and red blood fell from the sky of every known world across the multiverse. While the silver blood embodied bits of divinity, bringing about mythic abilities and sending all imbue on the path of legends, some of the blood sprouted living stones called Blood Crystals or "Warshards"
These Blood Crystals are living crystals imbued with pure creation. They have the power to warp the landscape and the creatures around them, some overnight, hearing a calling in their mind. The area around them is saturated with magic and can be used to heighten spells and magical creations. More importantly, the physics of the world around these blood crystals tends to warp with their influence, making it just as dangerous as advantageous to enter the area. 
Though not as powerful as Starstones, these remnants of the dead god Gorum can set individuals on the path of divinity or other truly spectacular or horrible fates.

Odor

To most people, Blood Crystals are odorless to most people, but to those with exceptional sense of smell (such as hounds or creatures with scent abilities) the crystals have been described as "an irony scent of battle and potential".
