The Battle of The Burning Sea

A Naval conflict between of Hance and Yama. It was known as a turning point for the Hance Navy, which proved itself to be the strongest Naval force in the continent and decimated the bulk of the Yamaite Armada.

The Yamaite Armada was almost completely wiped out, as well as many of its most talented and experienced navigators and seamen.

Aftermath

Yama continually turned isolationist, losing its agency overseas. Its trade routes were substantially reduced and this contributed in the continued impoverishment of the country.
Hance on the other hand, turned bolder in the seas. With no country around to challenge them in the maritime arena, the Halflings took over the role of monitoring the trade routes and collected high tariffs for their labor.
