Primary Languages

Here are the primary languages you are most likely to grow up with.
Common: A modern version of Giant, including many loan words from other languages and following a more straightforward Grammar.
Dwarven/Dwaer: Dwaer has a tone or pitch accent, described by many speakers of Common as a singsong rhythm. The vocabulary contains many loanwords, especially from Giant and Elvish and, in more recent times, from Orruki and Common.
Elvish/Faes: Faes is an inflected language with four cases for nouns, pronouns, and adjectives (nominative, accusative, genitive, dative), three genders (masculine, feminine, neuter), and strong and weak verbs. As a written language, Faes is quite uniform. As a spoken language, however, Elvish exists in many dialects, most of which belong to either the Stone Elf or Wood Elf dialectal groups.
Giant/Goli: The original language of the Empire. Ancestral to the Goliaths and the progenitor to most continental languages. A deceptively delicate and tonal language capable of describing concepts that other languages don't have words for.
Gnomish: A language isolate (i.e., a language unrelated to any other language). It is primarily spoken throughout the Gnokkin Isle. Gnomish vocabulary consists of three lexical strata: native vocabulary, foreign loans, and onomatopoeic expressions. The native vocabulary reflects the primary concerns of traditional Gnome society, which are centred on height and status.
Goblin/Kobble: A Kleptolexical language consisting entirely of loan words from other languages, slammed together with a crude but easily parsable grammatical system. Most often spoken by Goblins, Kobolds and Gnolls who all speak various dialects of it.
Halfling/Te Reo: Te Reo is one of the easiest languages to know and learn as the sounds stay the same no matter how letters are grouped. The language contains five vowels (each of which can be either short or long) and 10 consonants (h, k, m, n, ng, p, r, t, w, and wh).
Orc/Rukki: A difficult and extremely complex language with hundreds of different dialects, some as local as one side of a river compared to another. Spoken throughout the Orruki forests it is a language far older than any other.
Infernal: A dialect of Giant so far removed in grammar and pronunciation that it is considered it's own language. Infernal is a famously beautiful language with its rolled 'r's, round vowels, and melodic rhythm.
Tabbix: Its graceful script, magnificent style and rich vocabulary give the language of Tabba a unique character and flavour. It has a vast vocabulary, varied use of components like adjectives and adverbs, and flexible grammar.
