Exotic Languages
Languages that require study and are not commonly used among society.
Abyssal: A language of plosives and fricatives, A conversation in Abyssal sounds like an argument between hissing, bubbling cauldrons of pitch. Most commonly spoken by Yugoloths, Devils and denizens of Inferno.
Celestial: Celestial has no written alphabet and is a language of deep tones and body language. Sermons at Saint Laurent are very often given in Celestial but mortal tongues and vocal chords can only approximate the language so far and mortal ears aren't built sturdily enough for it.
Draconic: Nobody knows what Draconic sounds like and the language is not fully translated. What has been discerned hints at an incredibly deep and intricate language made of extremely simple grammar. Written script is often fashioned in long gouged letters etched by claw.
Primordial: Primordial is not spoken or written, it is felt. All creatures are born with an inherent understanding of Primordial but almost all forget it by their first sunrise. It is the language of before and beyond life, the language of the cosmos itself.
Sylvan: The language of treefolk and the fey. The Elven language is derived from it but the two are only slightly similar.
Undercommon: The language of Gnolls. It has hundreds of dialects, but is a deceptively easy language to grasp with enough time. Its grammar is extremely basic and repetition and volume is often used for emphasis on phrases.
Druidic: A link between Sylvan and Elven that is distinct from either and not readily translatable to Common. It is a secret language known and shared only between Druids of The Mother.
