Raising Shadows

Rising Shadows is one of the main mercenary assassin guilds within the continent. Expensive but they rare fail in their contracts and have access to both magical and mundane methods.

Structure

The Master - Witcher from the School of the Cat The Huntsmen - The leader of the huntsmen, the masters elite mutant assassins. The Spectre - Mage in charge of the magical segment of the organisation The Shade - The head of the non magical segment of the organisation The Sightless - Master of spies   Shades - Non magical assassins Spectres - Magical assassins Phantoms - Spies Huntsmen - mutated hand picked assassins

Culture

They are professionals and believe that the contract is all.  The targets are first researched and observed by the phantoms before a spectre or shades will be dispatched to eliminate the target.

Assets

Shades - The main force of the guild, hundreds of assassins of various levels Spectres - A dozen rogue mages Phantoms - The largest segment, the spies are dotted across the entire continent in towns and cities operating in secret Huntsmen - Ten warriors chosen and hand trained by the Master, all mutated with magics to some degree   They have access to vast quantities of wealth through many illegal and legal enterprises.     The main headquarters of the guild can be found in Novigrad but there are dozen of safe houses and strongholds dotted across the kingdoms

History

The Raising Shadow Guild was formed in the year 1235 by the former Witcher ****, of the cat school.  Having grown tired of the rough living and hate casted on him and his kind he turned his considerable talents to the art of assassination.  He left his true name in the shadows being only known to anyone outside of the shadow council as the Master.   The master to his knowledge and skills as a witcher and applied it to the guild, creating four main segments to work from.  First the Phantoms would work as the eyes and ears of the guild.  They tracked, gather information and report back to the guild before the decision is made on how to deal with the contract.  The phantoms are smart men and women, well learned and researched, being dotted across the continent to ensure a constant feedback of information is brought to the shadow council   Once the information is assessed the contract will be given to one of three people.  The Shade, The Spectre of the Huntsman.   The Shade and the shades are the mundane and main arm of the guild, these guild members are trained in the use of arms and poisons in order to complete their tasks.  By blade or by bow the shades will see their contracts completed.  Being dispatched in sizes of single or multiples, the shades have the widest and most varied elements within the guild from low level bruisers to professional elite assassins.   The Spectre and spectres are a much smaller but no less dealing element of the guild for their members can control chaos.  Recruited from rogue mages or chaos touched children found by the guild they are trained in using all their talents to secure the completion of the contract.  Not without teeth these mages can be found with mutated beasts in their care to aid them in their task.   The final segment is the smallest and most dangerous, the Huntsman and his huntsmen.  There are only ever ten of these warriors are they are the most deadly killers in the guild for two reasons, one they are trained by the master himself.  Secondly, they are mutants.  Chosen from chaos touched children recovered by the guild, though not strong enough to be mages their bodies are ideally suited to be subjected to the mutated powers of chaos and once enhanced their are trained by the master and the current huntsmen to become consummate killers.  The huntsmen are only sent out when blade or magic would fail and a combination of both are needed.  Trained in both blade and basic magic, they are a dangerous force to cross.   The guild is now well established in the continent, their power and reach can be felt from the deep south to the far north.
