Mylagonara Ocean

Mylagonara, also known as Mylago Ocean, Saladonet, and Kileyon, is a large mass of water in the planet of Moya.   The ocean is predominantly located along the equator line of the planet, and has been attributed many divine characteristics by many of the natives cultures.

Biology

The ocean features more than 12077 native endemic species, with large undisturbed populations of Gloops, Grayskins and Flyer fish. It is also one of three known origins of Ludoflora; a unusual family of water animals with light-recepting organs along its dorse.

Geography

While there is no evidence backing it up, the Ocean is believed to have originated from a meteor strike around 200 thousand years ago, which would have been big enough to enduce a change in tectonic plate movement around the area of impact and along the equator of the planet.   The ocean itself exists above 3 separate tectonic plates of the planet, all of which present subduction zones on most of their external boundaries. This has created a so-called "ring of fire" along its coasts, with many of Moya's most important mountain chains being located in these coastal areas.

Mythology

In most Moyan Cultures, the ocean is usually portrayed by a divine figure, most of times by a female Goddess. This deity, which has been given numerous names across the multiple ethnic groups and mythologies of the planet, has come to be known as Mylago in modern times (this being under both the modern mythology of the planet, and the wider, now more homogenized pan-Moyan culture, often referred to Panmoyaism, which englobes a simplified and unified version of all mythologies and cultures of the planet).   In Modern Panmoyanism, this deity is called Myalgo, and represents the Goddess of elements like the Sea, Water, Fire and Nature. She has become the symbolic face of "mother nature" in the planet of Moya and is depicted as the mother of Moya, the deity that symbolizes the planet itself.
