Corense
The Corense (Ç) was a currency created by The Core after the Colonies Revolution to prevent big accumulations of money and promote trade, tourism and low term bank credits.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
When The Core created the currency, only a few trusted and actually exchanged old Gloopees(G) into Corenses(Ç). Initially, its value was really low, but it went up quickly, and more people started using it. Eventually, it went up to the ratio that is still used, as 1Ç is roughly 13.653G. In real world, 1Ç would be around 9600 Euros.
Nowadays, the Corense is a currency that only powerful and rich people can use because of its extremely high value. A normal citizen would earn around 4260 Gloopees, which converted into Corenses would be only around 0.312. Because of laws prohibiting transactions with value under 1Ç, there wouldn't be a logical way of paying people, reason why Gloopees are used instead.
Casinos usually had no control over the currency used before The Core created the Corense, but ever since, prestigious casinos like the White Fountain Casino started restricting currency usage to Corenses exclusively, while in other places, the currency was originally banned because of the security issues that started to appear all over the place, with thieves and robbers increasing in number as the currency's value did.
Significance
If a person is known to use Corenses instead of Gloopees, it is seen as a sign of wealth, richness and security, and so some people prefer to have only one coin in their pockets instead of their million Gloopee credit card.
