Amberlie - Paria

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/The-Void-Between/a/amberlie--pariah--hurst-person   This article is actually asking a really interesting question: Do I need to keep all of my articles about persons in a third person style?   I do think a somewhat neutral style, like a journalist or a secret service reporting compiling a report about the person has it's place. It allows for a compact representation of the characters background and it also allows for the inclusion of details the character might not even know. Think a bit lovecraft there - a person might have a strange interaction with a swirling light that left them in a strange state and they cannot explain it, but the all-knowing worldbuilding eye can see that it was some outer being of a specific classification.   However, an interview style or narration style recollection could serve a good purpose as a characterization vehicle, especially about the events that shaped a person. Think of the person in the last paragraph - a good characterization might include their report to the police, or an interview with a therapist.

Worry Dolls

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/arrasgoth-oncomingshower/a/worry-dolls-item   This is actually interesting. A theme in the Colored Dimensions is the corruption and twisting of innocent and overall good things. For example, a story idea I have around here somewhere is a sect abusing the overall goodwill and trust brought forward by a small town setting for their overall evil deeds. Until this even twists into a strange form - the protagonists come in, but now they are the outsiders, and the townsfolk might even know about the evil deeds, but they rather stick to their own and against the outsiders, than against the people sacrificing tourists and somesuch.   Now, the worry dolls are interesting, because it would be an interesting concept to include benevolent creatures like some form of gnomes, fairies and such into the world (think icelandic or irish here) and to actually give them good and helpful deeds they do, as much as the cynic in my head hates it. Maybe some mischief as well, but the kind of mischief that benefits in the end. And then figure out ways to corrupt these innocent things. "Oh this is a cute gnome doll that's going to soothe my chil-OH GOD WHY IS IT LARGE NOW AND EATING THE CAT".

Strawberry fields

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/The-Void-Between/a/strawberry-fields-condition   Very intriguing title. It instantly makes you wonder what all of this has to do with strawberry fields. But I like how the article causes you to overall puzzle the eden soldiers, the picture of a strawberry field, and the crazy attacking of the soldiers together. I think this is something I should add or find in some way: Have a number of articles with the exact mechanics and things going on in a clear fashion, so we have a clear understanding what's going on, and then present these mechanics through the lense of different characters. This would be a good writing exercise.

Road Maker

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/anhult/a/road-maker-vehicle   It's interesting how much of a good first impression the very simple inclusion of stock photos made on me. I should probably think about including simple stock photos, or travel photos and such in articles, because it makes a big difference.

The sack of hiding

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/pangorio-dazzlinkat/a/sack-of-hiding-item   The interaction between the sigils and the geometric magic, and trying to hide them in some artistic patterns is really neat. Something like this could very much work in the colored dimensions after the hunt and purge of the different followers of the colored dimensions.

The Yuhkuh Landmark

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/kald-kriltch/a/yuhkuh-landmark   The side-story is really cool and has some real SCP vibes. Very much like this ruthless science.

Yasus Appartment

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/magica-bohemia-endrise/a/yasu-s-appartment-landmark   Wow, the style of this is unique and great. Post Its and paper.

Puck

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/yonderverse-mochimanoban/a/eleven3A-puck-the-living-moon-location   The styling here is also beautiful and makes me think of Star Trek. And the idea of Puck sounds intriguing. Reminds me of some old Green Lantern Comics, where they had an actual moon fight Galactos. So crazy.

Ground Dragon Bones

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/anhult/a/ground-dragon-bones-material   I really like the effect of how the passages are included with different styling. I'll have to look at World Anvil styling some to figure out how that works.

Mortals Society

https://www.worldanvil.com/w/lothrea/a/mortals-society   The first few sentences are such a great hook. And that's a really great article, I like the sectioning and how parts of the article feel like some papers someone might hand you in a rally. I wonder if the colored dimensions have some recruitment like that? Huh.

Resolutions

In 2022, I want to get my NaNo-Novel to a publishable point. That's a simple, but huge goal. I'll have to clean up a big plot hole, and I do see some big challenges to tackle. In my draft, it currently feels like I'm good at building a plot, getting reasonable actions down and pushing action through.   However, things are moving at lightning speed and the pace and brevity of a military briefing or a technical post-mortem. Facts, Facts, Actions, Facts, Facts, End. There is no time for any kind of mystery to grow, no time for Katherine or the reader to take in the scenery and to realize something is off. There is no time for the reader to feel the story, the locations and what's going on. And that's something I'll have to work on in 2022 and figure out.
