The Emperor Spirit is Raised

Emperor Oneranus III charges a temple-maiden from the Moon Mahal with the task of summoning up the spirit of his grandfather, Oneranus I.

Emperor Oneranus III, also known as Facultus, was only 8 when he engaged a shrine maiden from the Moon Mahal to call up the spirit of his Grandfather, who he wished to meet. The Child Emperor Facultus is horrified by the appearance of the spectre, and has the priestess slain.   This actions sends ripples of dissent through the priestly caste, who has adopted the Faen worship of the Senden and considers themselves the "second pillar" of society. They commune with their Faen masters, who instruct them to not disturb the imperial court's structure lest it destroy Onera.
