Oneranis VXXIII of Onran, Prince of Onera, flees Al-Onera. An exodus of many Onerans heads south and sets up the new Imperial capital in Moskawer. The members of the The First Cabal , who have used the Words of Ars to extend their lifespan, sever ties with the Oneran empire and break their covenant with one another. The Blight of Onera warps the flora and fauna of Onera, making much of the old empire uninhabitable.
The year 3000 AE marks the date the shattered imperial court declared Moskawer the new imperial capital of Onera.

However, many of the people who lived in the region simply could not pick up and move so easily. The blight was in some places slower than others, and some people managed to eek out a life, while others saw the collapse of Oneran sorcerous supremacy as a possibility to change their position. Therefore, the population of Al-Onera shrank by 90%. Those that remained were soon to fall under the rule of the Old Lords.
