The Conception of the White Library and the Reclusiary

Construction beginning/end

The time of mystics who sought to understand the universe through contemplation of the Ars lead to the building of these great structures.   The Emperor of All Men used war as a means of stocking this library. The many tribes of the Stone Kings, who had developed their own divination texts, were conquered one after the other, motivated by the need of the Emperor to collect works for this library, and to achieve possession of any rituals and incantations that would secure his royal power.

Mystics and astrologers make up the bulk of Oneranus II's court at this time. Many improvements to the quality of life in Parthonera are attributed to this "Star Council." Oneranus II commissions the construction of the Great Library and the Reclusiary, a sacred school for the study of divination and conjuring as a gift to the Star Council.
