Cardinal Company

The Cardinial Company (Li Rossovio Assendio) is one of the many companies of paid soldiers that have flourished in the patchwork of city-states of The Silver Strand. The company makes its income in three primary areas of business - protection, military contracts, and extortion.

Military

The Cardinal Company is broken into smaller companies, each with a flamboyant crest but each also adhering to a heraldric device of yellow on cardinal with no ordinary.
Currently, the Cardinal Company has five battalions, each made up of 100 Lancina (military formation) each comprised of 6 men: A man at arms, a squire, two valets, and two archers. Each Lancina possesses two warhorses for the man-at-arms and squire, as well as four non-warhorses for the remaining personnel.
For every 10 Lancina there is a Riongecapon ("Ringleader") who oversees and commands the squads, and one Caponlancira ("Chief Lancer") who serves as a sort of general for the battalion. The company is further supported by a body of administrative personnel primarily drawn from the retired Caponlancira.
