The Pancake Pâtisserie
The shop only appears when someone needs to buy or sell a magic item. Guests will first smell the sweet aroma of maple syrup before a fluffy orange dog with a white face and black smudges for eyes will guide the guests to a planked oak door adorned with a simple round amber glass window with an “open” sign hung below it. The door can appear anywhere and on any surface.
The shop is warmly lit with natural sunlight streaming through a large window showcasing an idyllic sight: a green glade dotted with birch trees, dainty yellow and white flowers bobbing in a breeze and the melodic trilling of songbirds. The scene is always the same regardless of where a guest entered, what season or even what time of day it is.
A witch, Pim, is the proprietress of the bakery. Her sweet treats are wickedly good, but her specialty is baking up magical items. The caveat is that she never knows what’s going to come out of the oven.
PCs can request a magic item be made for them and she’ll suggest a type of dessert that corresponds with their class. She’ll put that pastry in her magic oven, and after an hour a new enchanted item will be pulled out. PCs need to roll a 1d6 to see what item they get from the oven. Items can only be used by someone with a level in that class and require attunement.
There is a special type of baked good, the pan ex machina, that can be ordered and enjoyed by anyone in the party, but requires a bit more money to make.
