Overview
They are a rumored group of witches and devotees of the dead goddess, Endor. Some say that they are the reason for the plague, and anyone who associates with them is a witch and a heretic. Others believe that they possess the abilities to heal the plague and actively seek out their aid. There are reports of dead bodies disappearing and virgins being kidnapped by the coven. At the same time, the poorest families find satchels of medicine and food given on behalf of the mysterious group.
Acolytes
Members of the coven defer to the judgement of three acolytes who are said to directly commune with Endor. While their true identities are secret, they are referred to by their colloquial names: The Mortician, The Pallbearer and The Father.
Cortege
The acolytes meet on the night of the new moon to tend to the goddess in a ceremony called the Cortege. Those familiar with the event, or even those of a very superstitious nature, hang a circle cut of white paper or cloth from their doorway to signify their deference and their wish for help. Those who hang the offering are sometimes granted a small coin purse, medicine or food.
