Karånd Gyorsværd

Fastest Sword in the South Karånd Gyorsværd (a.k.a. Silver Sting)

"Few can claim to have lived a life as interesting as Karånd's. Even less are still alive to talk about it."

Although mostly famous in the Ebenenn Kingdom, due to his accomplishments as part of the Royal Guard in Handel, his name had spread far across the southern regions of Rendära-düh by the time he left the service of the Emperor.

A veteran swordsman, once proud to hold the title of greatest swordsman in The Southern Kingdoms , due to his outstanding speed with its blade in individual duels.

Currently only possesses his left arm, with rumors regarding its disappearance ranging from a lost bet to the involvement of a hungry dragon in faraway lands. The truth is it was taken by a cult of necromancers who tried to sacrifice him in a ritual. He managed to escape wounded. How he came to be in contact with said necromancers is a secret he shares only with those he trusts most.

He proceeded to spend his next years investigating Necromancy, granting him enough knowledge to temporarily serve him in battle.
  Necromancy Knowledge
He is able to use basic necromancy with his left hand, normally in the shape of reanimating the ashes of his lost arm, now stored in the leather bag he carries around. When reanimated, his ghostly skeleton arm is surrounded by emerald flames which spread to his blade, once unsheathed.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A discrete man covered in cloaks and mysteries, with a white mane that indicates he has already passed his prime. Nowadays he maintains a composure very similar to the one he presented while he served as a young imperial knight, while simultaneously disconnecting himself from the strictness of oaths and customs.

Facial Features

Long white hair caught in a small low ponytail. Short grizzly-white beard. Hazelnut-colored eyes that curiously seem to shine with a tone of bright green every once in a while. A long curved scar covers the top left of his face, running across his left eye.

Identifying Characteristics

Missing his right arm.

Apparel & Accessories

He can be normally seen wearing either fine clothes which have seen better days, or a dark-toned leather armor. At his left side, a long, thin rapier hangs from his hip, normally hidden by the large cloak which goes around his back and covers his missing limb. In his lower back, a small leather satchel hangs from his belt.

Specialized Equipment

Once known as "The fastest sword in the South", Karånd is a specialist in the use of the rapier in single combat.

History

Although both only admit to meeting each other for the first time during Liliesh's trip to Fyr-Elfhafen as casual travelers, most of their conversation gives off a feeling that more lies underneath. Rumor has it that Karånd saved Liliesh from a bandit raid while their caravan traveled close to The Mourning Woods.
