The Cinder

Three thousand years ago, the world burned. After the flames settled down and the people climbed out of their shelters, the world became settled once more. Two of the mightiest nations on the continent, Gildar and Merellion, have been deadly rivals since their founding. Recent developments have left Gildar shaken and seeking answers, and now the game of politics spill out to places they were never meant to go. Deep inside the world a rumble marks the stirrings of old gods, awakening at last from their slumber to restore the lost balance. From the astral planes, the newer gods of the sentient species look down on this world with mixed feelings. Some with pity, some with greed and some with the desire to reforge The Cinder or finally snuff out the last lights of the blasted place. And on the shores of a peninsula that none have laid eyes on for centuries, four shipwrecked adventurers find themselves lost, hungry, unequipped and facing threats all around them.
