Ilmari and his sister Minea were members of the Marnolian tribe who were captured by the Mastorian Shield and incarcerated in The Radana Storme Institute .

Having been recruited by Lenni to stage an escape plan, Ilmari intends to start a fight in the Mess Hall so that Reko could meet with a corrupt guard. The plan succeeds, though not in the way that Ilmari intended as Ajax Wursor attacks another patient and in turn sparks a chain of events that sets multiple patients to fighting.
The confusion gives Reko his opportunity, however the plan backfires when Reko is murdered by Doctor Ada Arztin . Ilmari is later questioned harshly by Russell Tideborn and Sister Prudence and he reveals to them in turn that he, his sister, and Reko were all members of the Marnolian tribe before they were incarcerated.
Throughout the day more victims of Doctor Ada Arztin are found and suspicion falls upon the tribal prisoners. A gallows is set up in the grounds of The Radana Storme Institute and the guards begin to drag the tribal inmates outside. Ilmari and Minea try to fight them off and win freedom for their people, but the guards overpower them and dash their heads against the walls and floor.
