Portal Paintings

Portal Paintings are just that paintings that act as gateways to the places depicted in the imagery. These paints usually work both ways as far as transportation but the linked paints aren't always so easily found leaving the traveler stranded until they find the linked painting or find an alternative way of returning to whince they came. 
In many cases the owners don't know that the art they have displayed are actually gateways to other places and that somewhere else people might be appreciating them as art.
These paintings come in all shapes and sizes and can lead to almost anywhen across the multiverse. Some of these paintings where created so it's creator or whoever commissioned it would be able to relive to events captured within the painting.
