The Great Beyond

"Known as the universe where the Chronicle of Iberia takes place."
Unknown beknownst to all, the world we reside is but a mere fragment of what we could possibily comprehend. No matter how long one lives, none can withstand the infinte spanse of the univese. Truly, there could be no other way to phrase the universe, other than "The Great Beyond."
- Engan Towari

It is home to a plethora of unknown realms yet untouched and unknown to the denizens in Iberia. However, the notion of their existence remains a potent point of contention amongst the communities that research them. As research has gone forward, there has been an overall agreement that there is an Inner Sphere where Iberia resides and an outer core known as the Outer Sphere that encompasses the universe.

Inner Sphere

Well of the Aether (Elemental Planes):

Well of the Aether The entire of all of the Elemental Planes in one whole sum. This is a plane of erratic energies that is essential for the ability to cast magic in the Material Plane.

Positive Energy Plane:

Where the souls of the Material planes were birthed using Erg . Typically not a plane that creatures may enter. Celestial-like creatures of Positive energy defend this plane, as other forms of life would simply be incinerated upon entry.

Astral Forest (Feywild Plane):

A mystical plane of a vast landscape of fantastical terrains where death is but an annoyance. Creatures of the Feywild may die, but be reborn later as their soul wanders the Astral Forest. With no true rules adhering to this changing land, it is but a region of pure havoc. Creatures of this plane bear very loose morals. Many of which are whimsical without common courtesy or sense. They adhere to what they so desire at the moment, rather than of logic.   There is a lack of ability to navigate due to no magnetic north, as it is a shifting region. Landmarks do not function as they constantly shift. Even with magic, it remains unpredictable. A Fireball may result in another spell depending on the day. Divine Casters will find themselves in terror finding a disconnect to their deity bond. As the Material Plane is next to the Feywild, it is relatively common for portals to appear for brief pockets, or if not centuries of time.   It is governed by individuals dubbed "Eldests", many of which are whimsical akin to their environment.

Material Plane:

The plane where the majority of the campaign takes place. Where many stories lay untold and await their passage in the great expanse of Iberia.

Ethereal Plane / The Astral Sea:

A plane that constantly shifts and lacks a true form of solidness. Experience of traveling in the region is akin to a waking dream and is often referred to as such. Many individuals associate their dreams as a form of wandering the Astral Sea during their sleep. Has a deep-rooted connection to the Warp that often grants nightmare-ish like dreams and/or creatures to the plane.

Shadow Plane:

A transitive sphere where much of the distorted land mimics those of the Material Plane. It holds some semblances to the ethereal plane as well. Home to many who find themselves trapped from the Astral Sea, or creatures banished to such lands. Heavily associated to those of the undead and negative energies due to its close proximity to the Negative Energy Plane.

Negative Energy Plane:

Known as the final resting, and the antithesis to life itself. As the polar opposite to the Positive Energy Plane, it is a region of destructive energy that is bleak, and empty for vast amounts of land. Only the most corporeal undead which bears only negative energy may exist in the plane.

Outer Sphere

The Warp:

Planes are shown below in their respective sections of the Outer sphere, but they are consistently changing and warping, hence its name. It is a lump sum of all of the chaotic regions shaped in a never-ending swirl of a flower, rather than one that is tangible and easily conceptualized.

The Maelstrom (Chaotic Neutral):

A vast unclaimed region of Crystalline Forests in the shape of Jewels. While chaotic, they are relatively stable in their environment. This can be seen in its ever-shifting lands that change by the day, yet retain a form of normalcy. Unlike its Abyss counterpart which is destructive in its changes, the Maelstrom shifts its land slowly over the duration over a timeframe. For example, if a person were to fall asleep under a Crystal Tree, they can awaken to the new environment of an underwater city, a cave system full of stalagmites, and more.

The Abyss (Chaotic Evil):

A region of chaotic evil that is home to denizens of Demons, Souls, and Fiends. Known as a region of near insanity often changing due to the consistent wars of Demon Lords.

Elysium (Chaotic Good):

An untouched wilderness that bears its shape in environments deemed extreme even for the most esteemed of creatures. While these regions are harsh and uninviting, only those that master it can see its true value. A land of freedom and plenty, where none may rule over the land save for themselves.

Soul Stream (Neutral):

A region where the dead is sent to heaven or hell. An endless line of souls where the Soul Stream lies.

Heaven (Lawful Good):

The Plane represents Order. Governed by an Archon for each of their regions, the lands are shaped in the form of a heavenly mountain. Rarely do angels arrive from the Heavens to intervene in the Material plane, save for when Hell's influence or other chaotic realms has gone too far. There are Seven Layers that remain in the Planes of Heaven.

Hell (Lawful Evil):

The plane of Purgatory, home to the Devils. A boundless region full of strife, torment, and suffering. It is run by the Archedevils who are heavily keen on adhering to their rules. Often known to make contracts with those of the mortal lands to ensnare their souls for their selfish delight, and to rebel against Heaven.

Demiplanes and Other Dimensions

The World of Erinn:

A defunct land of paradise once created by the Divinity Cichol. After its purpose has been served, the land is no longer accessible.

The Witch Market:

A mysterious Astral Forest portion that is linked to the region of the Material Plane. Where whimsical creatures, abnormal trinkets, and various baubles are traded for favors, stories, intrigue, and other things worth valuable to someone. While it is a demi-plane, it is relatively easy to access if the right criteria are met.
