Vinnar, Grand Ballistic Empire

"Of all the nations in this vast galaxy, I know none that hold such great potential for progress, or for violence,"   -Gazan, Senator of Dahlia

Government

The Government of Vinnar is a militaristic Empire ran by a single head of state. Despite a comparatively small standing army compared to larger planets, Vinnar is often cited as having the most military power within the Trilian Galaxy. This is due in large part to laws which encourage the development and trade of weapons both internally and with neighboring nations. In addition, youths are required to enlist into the Blastonian army on their sixteenth birthday, something which even the only daughter of the Empress was forced to do.

Defences

Blastonain tradition suggests that the best defense is an overwhelming offense. As such, the entire planet, as well as their police and military force are augmented for maximum firepower, sporting top of the line Blastonian laser technology. Many believe that an all-out war between Vinnar and every other planet in the Trilian galaxy would still be in Vinnar's favor, simply due to its high weapon-per-head ratio.

Infrastructure

Much of the industrial infrastructure of Vinnar is managed by the nation's two lead engineers: Maccina and Virtel. While Maccina's developments are more focused on manufacturing, Virtel has made many great leaps in the planet's transit system. One of his greatest creations is a massive digital railroad, which spans the entire circumference of the planet, can even be seen from outer space, evocative of a orbital ring around the planet.

Assets

Vinnar has the largest weapons cache of any militarized planet in the Trilian Galaxy. They sport hefty stockpiles of basic weapons, to battleships, and interplanetary laser silos. Vinnar is not afraid to sell many of their first class weapons to trade allies, while establishing embargos on other military rivals, such as Planet Dahlia and the GRCC. This massive stockpiling and distribution of weaponry has increased military tensions that can be felt throughout the galaxy, even on neutral planets such as Loverli and Aria.

History

Vinnar was a lifeless, ore-rich asteroid when Blastonian settlers came to the Trilian galaxy. Over the years they developed the entire rock into a habitable, totalitarian government with incredible presence throughout the Galaxy. While originally a blood thirsty tribe of warleaders, Blastonians shifted from causing violence themselves to promoting violence among others through strategic alliances with planets such as Black Shark and Marchen, trading with them laser based weaponry which had never been seen in the galaxy before. In this way, the Blastonians of the Trilian Galaxy have established a kind of peace within their new home, though many still suspect the true motivations of the royal family, and feel that this peace will inevitably be short lived.   The current ruler, Grand Empress Dina, is a ferocious warrior who is treated almost like a God by a handful of her subjects. It is said that upon her birth, her feet had never touched the ground, and to this day no one has been able to force the Empress onto her feet, let alone make her kneel.   Dina had her only daughter, Trin, enrolled in the first trial semester of Star Seasons Academy. On the day of graduation, Dina herself got into a physical altercation with one of the teachers when Trin was not declared the top student of the entire academy. This altercation ended when the teacher in question was nearly murdered at Dina's hands in front of all the students and teachers at the school.

Architecture

Vinnar is covered entirely with metallic buildings and structures, its small surface area tightly packed with all varieties of manufacturers and other industrial buildings. From nearly any point on the city-wide planet one can look up and get a glimpse of the digital railway surging overhead, carrying tens of thousands of passengers at any given time.   Due to the efforts of the Esteemed botanist Gretchen, there are several greenhouses which dot the planet, containing entire parks of plant life transferred from various planets throughout the galaxy. These ornate domes can easily be picked out from among the otherwise square shaped buildings of the surrounding factories, weapon silos, apartments, and so on.   The Vinnar castle itself is integrated into the digital railway, allowing anyone on the planet to seek an audience with the Empress herself, mostly for those who wished to directly give offerings to her.
