Star Seasons Academy

Candy pressed her face to the cold window as the school finally came into view. The bleak void of space was at once showered in a vibrant blanket of light, all sourced from the massive structure before her. Each soft beam drifted onto the desolate moonscape like satin petals, gathering around the building's mighty, ashen trunk. The structure rose higher than anything she had ever seen, its many branches lining the horizon. Blazing red flared in her eyes, while a chilling blue froze her breath, a gleaming yellow dazzled her heart, as a forest green embraced her body. These four shining branches bathed her and the ship on approach, a small opening folding inward, allowing them passage into the most renowned school in the galaxy.

Purpose / Function

The goal of Star Seasons Academy is to train the next generation of Champions, in order to protect the Trilian Galaxy while uniting the divided governments found throughout the region. The school also acts as a neutral territory for each government at the behest of the Angelic Council, allowing for civil discussions between various parties on an equal stage, under the guidance of the Angelic Council, as well as the Headmistress, Rita.
Rather than encouraging sheer military force, the school attempts to educate students on the different ways in which and environments live within the galaxy. This is done by dividing the school into four separate biomes, or "Branches", which the students are expected to make a living within during their entire tutelage at Star Seasons Academy. Each Branch simulates an extreme environment in which students will need to rely on each other as well as their own abilities to survive. Students will learn team work, self defense, problem solving, survival, and diplomacy.

Architecture

Star Seasons Academy is built on a remote asteroid within an unpopulated sector of the Trilian galaxy. It stands at around One kilometer, with a diameter of two hundred and fifty meters at its base. It is a cylindrical tower with offshoots near the top, each leading to a suspended orb which contains its own biome. each biome measures around five hundred square kilometers. From a distance, Star Seasons Academy is said to resemble a gigantic tree with multicolored leaves. 
The Academy was designed by the lead Engineer for the Blastonian Empire, Maccina. Resources and construction services were donated by various individuals and governments for the privilege of being the first to enroll students into the school's program. Manufacturing of biomes specifically was headed by the Angelic Council, with particular effort on part of the Angel of Atmospheres, Cloud Bellows. In exchange, as handful of Angels were allowed to become teachers and members of the administrative team, including Miss Bellows herself. The bulk of teachers and staff are made up of representatives from the various governments within the Trilian galaxy, though exceptions are often made for outside individuals with particularly outstanding credentials.
Each Branch, as stated above, attempts to recreate certain extreme environments which the students will be expected to survive in. The Branches are as follows: 

• The Spring Branch: Lush meadows, rolling fields, rocky mountains and thick forests surround the landscape from all sides. Near the certain of the Biome are several large and deep lakes which are actively used for fishing. 
• The Summer Branch: Miles upon miles of sand, as well as magnified starlight replicate the conditions of a harsh desert. There is a large sea at the edge of the Branch, where students find the beaches particularly enjoyable.
• The Autumn Branch: All of the Autumn branch is surrounded by active volcanoes and bubbling lava lakes, with jagged terrain that makes normal means of traversal near impossible. Underground are hundreds of interconnected cave networks that are near pitch black.
• The Winter Branch: The entire Branch is swallowed in an eternal blizzard, where one can be lucky to trudge through snow that only goes up to their hips. Sheer cliffs and massive trees over a dozen meters in thickness also dot the frigid landscape.

History

After her retirement from adventuring at the age of Forty, Headmistress Rita, then known as Rita the Blade, took to tutoring young individuals with whom she saw great potential in. She began with brother and sister Illias and Fortuna, taking them in after their mother succumbed to the wounds from a battle many years before. What started with just two students quickly doubled, then tripled, until it was a galaxy-wide known fact that Trilian's greatest hero had been mentoring displaced youths. Eventually, rita was approached by none other than the leader of the Angelic Council, Fala, herself. Fala offered Rita a means to mentor students that showed promise on a scale she never thought possible. Rita showed no hesitation and immediately began work to make this dream a reality. Through her fame, along with the assistance of the Angelic Council, Rita began to recruit teachers from around the galaxy, forming a capable team of teachers, along with four trusted administrators to aid her in managing the school. 
While the first semester of students were are elected by the planets which had donated to the cause of creating this school(coincidentally all being female), the following semesters introduced a greater variety of students, including youths who had little political presence within their family, but showed great prowess regardless. It should also be noted that the first semester of students was also the most competitive, to the point of constant violence between students. This was due largely in part to the fact that these first students each had an indefatigable desire to prove that they and their planet were the most powerful in all the galaxy.
The environment at the school has since calmed down drastically. By the time they graduated, the first students of the academy had become fast friends and formed an intergalactic task force known as Team Alpha. To this day Rita continues to search for capable teachers and students to join her ranks at the Academy, and continue protecting the whole of the Trilian galaxy.
