Flatune

Effect

Flatune is an advanced combat technique that allows the user to slice through any solid object, at the cost of weakened defense. By thrusting an edged weapon or similar object/limb with extreme speed, the momentum and heat generated will force the object to become perfectly flat, making it as sharp as possible. Attacks imbued with Flatune are able to cut cut through any solid object with even the slightest amount of force applied. This technique also increased the reach of the user's attacks, as the user's blade with become longer to make up for its flattened state.
This technique has one crippling weakness however, and that is most attacks on the flat sides of the blade have a high chance of shattering it. As such, Flatune is typically only used when the user knows they are faster than their opponent, and are not at risk of having their blade broken before they can get in an attack.

Manifestation

Besides just appearing physically thinner, items or limbs imbued with Flatune glow a vibrant white, a byproduct of the amount of heat necessary to bend the objects shape into its perfectly sharp form.
