Attributes

Overview

Attributes are a base component which all objects and people carry. Much of reality is measured using Attributes, which themselves are divided into two incompatible components. 
There are four attributes, each containing two components. The list of attributes are as follows: 

• Reality: Describes the physical presence of an object
• Chroma: Describes the level of light, if any, an object produces
• Climate: Describes the temperature of an object
• Alignment: Describes the moral makeup of an object

All Attributes are made up of two equal parts, neither of which able to exist at the same time as the other. The halves of each Attribute are as follows:

• Reality: Time & Space
• Chroma: Light & Darkness
• Climate: Blaze & Frost
• Alignment: Purity & Corruption

While each object and individual in the universe has all four of these Attributes within them in some amount, most people do not have direct control over them. Champions, as well as scientists, however, are specialized to be able to control one or more Attribute, or half of an Attribute. Among them, specially gifted or powerful individuals are able to control both halves of an Attribute equally. These individuals are commonly known as Masters of Balance.
