Session 95: The City of Light

Imrie convinces Nura to help her use the Ki Stone and some of the Boneman's magic mushrooms to try and figure out whether or not Yenna is real. She has an acid-trip fueled dream that seems to activate her telepathic powers, which pulls in Cedric from across the world into their collective dream. They dream of the Temple of Yenna, a long line of Humans waiting at the hall doors, including many people who are dead. The line is watched over by the Symphony Guard. They push their way in, and find a man glowing with a powerful red light, singing a beautiful, soothing note that entrances the crowd. It's High Cleric Solovoseh. Imrie asks him a question, and as he speaks, he blows away like dust. Bianca suddenly screams out in pain, as a Shadow Monster rips out from her pregnant belly, and Venumbra shows up. This seems to be the real Venumbra, attracted by the same spell. They stand up to Venumbra, but ultimately must flee. Imrie has a vision with Cedric of Karlt dying, being offered a chance at new life with Venumbra, but turning away from him, choosing to stick with Yenna, and walking back toward her light, choosing death over Venumbra.   Garruk has a dream, and wakes up to find his necklace is gone. He later finds it in the hall, next to a statue of an Elven Woman (Nira). Lanthem dreams of flying, and wakes up clutching his red gemstone, disconnected from the Lifestone.   The group comes together to discuss Imrie's dream, and find Cedric is inside of the blue crystal. Lanthem reaches out to touch it, and finds some new depths inside, and chooses to delve into the crystal. This seems to disconnect his consciousness from his body, and his body drops, comatosed. The rest of the group try to nurse him back to health, but after a day, decide they must head off to the Crystal City, and continue their mission. They arrive five days later, having found the entrance, and enter.
