Session 127: The Octave's Last Treasure Hunt

Bari, Sillia, Ezra, Arael, and Vaso discover that the green wisps of light are in fact souls. One such seems to be leading them toward Venumbra, but they notice their treasure map points in another direction. They choose to follow the map for now, and find the location their treasure map points to, and fight a huge worm-like monster to get to it. It's a Horn of Resurrection, which Bari attunes to. From there they head back along their original route, toward Venumbra, and discover a fissure in the cave where millions of wisps of light are moving with purpose along two tracks, unlike anything they've ever seen before. Experimenting with it, they discover that these green wisps of light are the same power source as the black river. The Souls are feeling dread, and thus so does this realm. Vaso traps a soul in his Hold Person spellstone, the crystal of which begins to glow bright green. The soul inside is terrified of where Venumbra is pulling it to, and wants them to kill it. Bari attempts to enthrall a few souls with his song, and use a spell to create an image of what one of those souls would look like, and winds up pulling a creature from the Dreamlands.
