Tarksson, Tanozall, Syr'Cap, and Busiris travel to the Prima Vista, the elven life ship, and repair it. Busiris uses his spore-power to patch the hole in the ship with a cancerous-like growth over the hole. Cedric and Karlt arrive and convince them to take them with them. It is extremely slow going, and Karlt attempts to help the ship's cancerous growth with a Restoration spell, only for the growth to recede but immediately open the hole back up. It's all the D&S can do to patch the hole again, nearly losing the ship in the process. Tarksson threatens to kill Karlt and throw him overboard, but Karlt, defeated emotionally, leaps off the boat. Tarksson leaps in after him and begins to gut him, Syr'Cap and Tanozall jumping in as well to stop Tarksson and save him after Syr'Cap made a deal with Cedric: Save Karlt and Cedric promised to help them kill a god. Karlt's blood drew a pack of sharks in, and Karlt nearly died in the process. Busiris fell overboard, and Tarksson offered Cedric a chance to abandon everyone and keep the ship for themselves, but Cedric declined. In the end, everyone survived, but they found themselves right next to the Veil. Tanozall burned one of his black shards in his chest to call upon Venumbra, whom, upon arriving, fixated on Karlt.
