Harmony Guard

The Harmony Guard is the official town guard in New Crescendo proper. They are composed almost entirely of humans, although they report to and are often led by High Elf officers. Guards mostly keep the peace among the human inhabitants of New Crescendo, although they are also the protectors of the city in the rare event of outside attacks. They tend to stand out, as they are dressed in leathers and furs dyed green by the elves, usually with wooden pauldrons and a braided headband made of vinerope. They tend to wield thick greatclubs for normal work, though they have access to a wide array of weapons to suit whatever threat they need to deal with.

They do not serve up in Orchestria, as the High Elves have their own protection force for that, and in general the High Elves do not succumb to violence among their own kind.

Perception

Social Status

Members of the Harmony Guard are perhaps the most well-off of the working class in New Crescendo. They tend to live in Upper Alto, outside of the crater, and often are in decent houses. They're also fed rather well, guaranteed meat as often as it comes in, and have various other social perks as well.

Demographics

There are less than two hundred members of the Harmony Guard. It is a very small force compared to the size of the population, which is why they tend to only deal with major issues, and leave the populace to fend for themselves for more petty issues.
