"I would be a fool not to recognize the beauty of my adopted mother. Even in death, staring at her cold, pale corpse on the viewing table at the Temple of Daestrus, she was beautiful. However, behind her beauty lie a cruel, devious, and jealous woman. My entire life I was meant to be neither seen nor heard by her. When my father would leave to run errands, and I was forced to stay home with her I would have to stay out of her sight. I disgusted her...the pig-nosed half-orc who her husband loved. An affront to their relationship, and everything that she wanted. Try as they might they could never conceive a child. And so I was a reminder of that... I wasn't her son, I was always Gabriels son.
Now that she was dead I felt a great sense of relief... no longer would I have to hide from her ire. I could stand tall in my own home, and live a semi-normal life with my father. As cruel to me as she was though... she did not deserve to be murdered. I feel pity for my father, but with any luck this experience will bring us closer together... and maybe he will come with me when I leave New Crescendo... just maybe...."
