Mountains of Shadow

The tallest mountains known, it is said that Tayde herself raised them to block the red northern light, casting protective shadows across the lands her husband ruled. The shadows of the great peaks do cast great shadows for half the day across the lands to the south, but high passes allow some light through, with streaks of the 2nd light reaching the coast, Capital itself, and beyond across the sea.
