The Center

A primordial world, the Center of creation is a land of danger and chaos. The sky is lit by pulsing red light from the north and gold light from the south, beating like twin hearts; sometimes in sync, but often falling out. Dark stars are strewn across the sky, glittering in myriad colors when the day lights blend in twilight. Small settlements dot the landscape, worshiping ancestors and spirits both benign and deceitful. All the while dark forces move unseen against the New order.   In the southern plains 6 cities push back against the wild. Recently conquered by the 1st Emperor, some of the citizens accept the new order, while some seek to wrest free of new chains. The Emperor sees traitors at every corner, and his cult seeks the hearts of his conquered people and the heads of the recalcitrant Titan Priest, some of whom preach a common apocalypse.   In the north, where few have stepped, there are said to be high mountains, thick forests and diseases swamps. Trades flows along the coast, making Capital the largest of the 6 cities, but little is known about these far flung places full of tall men worshiping strange gods. And there are legends of worse things across the sea...   In this world magic is constant, but wild and dangerous. Those who dare wield it risk being ostracized, if they survive the attempt. Men work bronze into swords and plows, iron being newly introduced in the tip of the emperor's spears. Knowledge is passed down from sage to sage, with cryptic runes only know to select few.
