Raeth Dundragon
Drawn into the plot to usurp the Raven Queen, Raeth is tracking down and eliminating agents of Orcus and Shar while helping the people marked by the Torment rune.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Raeth is in good shape and exercises weekly as time and circumstances allow. He keeps his hands limber and protected.
Thanks to a potion of longevity, Raeth was able to restore his body to a more youthful vitality, going from a physical 33 years back to 23 years.
Apparel & Accessories
Raeth dresses much like the adventurers who come to Ankhapur on their way to the Border Kingdoms. Browns and grays with little color so as not to stand out. He mostly wears styles associated with the cities and towns on the southern shore of the Lake of Steam. He accentuates this by openly carrying an Arthyn Fang dagger sheathed on his potion belt. He used to wear a gold medallion around his neck and say it was a symbol of Waukeen if asked. Now he openly wears a symbol of Mask and doesn't care what people think.

Personal history
Born in the city of Saradush, eastern Tethyr in the Year of the Blazing Brand, Raeth's parents moved to Ankhapur when he was 15 to try their hands in the pearl trade that is successful in the cities and towns around the northern shore of the Lake of Steam. He eventually fell in with a group of ne'er-do-wells and was recruited into the church of Mask.
After the death of Wil and the fall out from the Time of Troubles, Raeth wandered the Border Kingdoms. He joined, and eventually left, a few adventuring bands before settling into his role as an agent of Mask. During this time, he ran afoul of a temporal stasis spell in the city of Mintar while fighting the newly formed church of Cyric. The Second Sundering and the return of Mystra ended this spell in the year 1487 DR, returning Raeth to the Realms, though a vastly changed Realms.
Education
Educated by his parents, Raeth was taught to read and write his native Chondathan as well as Common. Mathematics was also taught, as well as the history of Tethyr.
Raeth greatly expanded what he'd learned by spending time around the various people who made Ankhapur their home. He picked up Alzhedo quickly and began creating disguises based on an Amnian traveler. He learned Elven from a retired half elf adventurer.
After the encounters with the imp, Zotzpox, Raeth used the small library in the Gift of Shadows to research the creature and its home plane, Baator, the Nine Hells. He expanded his planar knowledge since he needed to know how to combat it should the imp make a third appearance.
Raeth learned to read Infernal and is still working of ridding himself of any accent when speaking the planar tongue.
Employment
Raeth worked as an agent for Baron Joachim Wildhurst, an Ankhapuran noble.
With the Baron's death, Raeth was once again a free agent. He began putting plans in place to deal with the forces of the Speaker in Dreams, but the mind flayer was dealt with before he could put those plans into action.
Intellectual Characteristics
Seeing the devastation and terror caused by the invading force in Brindinford unsettled Raeth. The ruin brought about by the mind flayer and his small army left the region in chaos and caused many deaths. The chaos of these forces invading Ankhapur and leading to Wil's death weighed heavily upon Raeth. He felt if he'd been a bit more heavy-handed he could have kept Wil from being so afraid and running off unprepared after Wil and Stolig were arrested.
The Time of Troubles caused even more upheaval in Raeth's life. The severing of his connection to Mask, although short, left him lost and unsure of his place in the Realms. The return of the gods to their place in the planes helped alleviate that feeling, especially when Mask sent emissaries to Raeth and tasked him with dealing with problems as a divine agent. His magical imprisonment seemed mere moments but the events leading to his freedom have caused him to reevaluate his place in the world, but the change in Mask himself has brought Raeth a newfound sense of purpose.
Morality & Philosophy
He doesn't really trust people, though if he gives his word, he keeps it. This puts him at odds with his fellow clergy at times, but he doesn't worry about them. If Mask is displeased, the Shadowlord will make sure Raeth knows.
Raeth will not harm non-combatants. He finds it distasteful and unbecoming. He refuses to associate with those who do.
Taboos
Raeth refused to steal from the pearl divers nor the small businesses that deal in local pearls.
Raeth used to refuse to purposefully set foot in an active temple of a good deity. This led his companions to ask questions among themselves. These days, his attitude towards such things has become rather laissez faire.

Now an agent of Mask, Raeth has been tasked with tracking down those marked with the torment rune and protecting them from the forces of Orcus and Shar.

Social

His parents lived and work in the city of Ankhapur. Their business was quite successful. They owned several boats used for pearl diving and employ eight full time divers. They sold their pearls in most of the major cities and towns in the region.
He had a younger brother named Evendur. He and Raeth were close, and Raeth did his best to keep him out of trouble.
His parents passed peacefully of old age and his brother would go on to inherit the family business and start a family of his own. Eventually marrying and having children, Evendur Dundragon and family would be among the most successful pearl traders on the Lake of Steam.
Religious Views

Raeth wields a longsword he calls Shadow's Kiss, in homage to Mask and his god's sword, Stealthwhisper.
Hobbies & Pets
Dragon Chess was a favorite hobby of Raeth's. He learned from his mother and played her when he visiter. She soundly beat him almost every time.
Speech
Raeth commonly uses an Arthyn accent when speaking. It's become second nature to him and he has to make himself use his normal accent if he is around his parents. His Alzhedo is accented as someone from southern Tethyr. His Elven is slightly accented and he's working on losing the accent as fast as he can.
Wealth & Financial state
Working as an agent for Baron Wildhurst proved lucrative for Raeth. He had a sizeable nest egg put away for emergencies. Thankfully his loot was still hidden in the sewers of Ankhapur, possibly protected by Mask himself.
