Originally from Cleveland Ohio, Lamar was among the first wave of children of Earth to become Godslayers. Having previous experience with firearms, Lamar was a key player in giving New Earth access to guns. He was also the first to receive Zaritain’s Eagle Eye augment.

After arriving on Gaian, Lamar was taken in by a hunter and his wife. This hunter had also fostered a Vivienne and Erin Storfal. They became close friends. When the Steady Hand raided the cabin, they killed the couple and kidnapped Erin. As a friend, Lamar had no choice but to support Vivienne in seeking her sister.
