The Blue Phantom Syndicate

The Blue Phantom Syndicate, often referred to as the Blue Phantoms, is an underground quasi-guild that is decentralized and operated by a large number of members in the organization across Vectrus. The group specializes in grey and black market trade that relates to artifacts and magical items, as well as information. They're often said to have been founded by outcasted or retired members of the Terran Accord; members who were tired of process and bureaucracy of the Accord leadership.

Structure

The Blue Phantoms operate strategically as a decentralized and compartmentalized group, keeping their ability to survive crackdowns and busts from Government organizations.
Blue Phantoms are known, within their ranks, to gently signify their association with blue markings of clothing, and using a specific challenge/pass phrase between the individual member. The member creates their own phrase so that each member is unique. Often, members will have multiple phrases for various types of businesses or to signify an emergency. Ultimately, a challenge phrase for one member will not mean anything to another. This keeps relationships strictly controlled, and takes much time to build a network of members; all of which is based purely on trust and profit.

Trade & Transport

The Syndicate utilizes its compartmentalization to keep transportation, smuggling, and trade of grey and black market items under covert operations. Often, money is not used to trade items, rather heavy bartering for both information and items for trade is the most common tactic, as it prevents heavy consolidation of money for any one vendor. Vendors instead sell their items to the open market or to private buyers or procurers when they wish to exchange for a monetary value.
