The First Gallican-Ravilian War

The First Gallican-Ravilian war was caused in no small party by The Rampage of the Nightmare King a few years prior.
It lead to signifficant military build up in global militaries and a weakening of several small nations that were affected by the crisis directly.

Gallica took advantage of the weakness of the small nation of "Ashea" to invade it, breaking the previously established alliance between the nations. This however caused the expanding Ravil empire to declare war on Gallica. While Ravil publicly declared their support for Ashea, they were just as eager to claim parts of the kingdom as Gallica. Ashea was thus the battleground of two empires that each cared little for the inhabitants.

The lengthy war was concluded with the signing of a peace treaty by the two nations as Ravil was unable to dislodge the Gallican forces despite their best attempts. The mage-council eventually judged the entire affair to be a waste of their nation's wealth and signed a nonaggression pact with Gallica.
This conflict proved to the nation of Ravil that Gallica was not to be taken lightly, but also fostered a lingering resentment between the two countries. Now, with no magna states or Ashea between them, the two countries bordered one-another directly and skirmishes and squabbles between local lords is constant.
The Former nation of Ashea was renamed to the Milian duchy, which is composed of the Dante county and the Lionel County
