The Salamander
Aukhal Hornweaver, Titled '"the Salamander" is the most dangerous Fire Mage on Haven.
The Salamander is rumored to have made a pact with a powerful spirit of Fire that grants him great power. He has become so proficient in the art that if he so wanted he could burn armies, melt fortresses, scorch cities and given time even nations.
The Salamander has a habit of making enemies due to his hotheadedness and abrasive personality.
Despite not being any more physically powerful he has survived multiple allegedly successful assassination attempts, it is rumored that his benefactor does not allow him to die.
The Salamander spends most his time at an elaborate mansion given to him by his sponsor, a rich Pucraeli Family-Head. If that Patriach's enemies become too irritating he calls upon the Salamander to burn them to ashes, which is a most swift affair in most cases.
Stemming from an environment that does not particularly like mages, the Salamander has learned that so long as you have power you can get what you want and get away with what you want.
Exploits/myths:
The Truth:
The Salamander was once a hotheaded arrogant Fire Priest, this is true. However, after an attempt on his life went wrong and cost him his wife and child he has fallen into a deep depression which he medicates with alcohol and narcotics. He no longer stays in his rich manor but instead can mostly be found drinking himself into a stupor at the local tavern
He does not approach his manor anymore, and though the areas the servants are allowed to access have been repaired, his personal quarters remain a burned out husk.
