Platinum Constables
The Platinum Constables are an organization founded and organized by the Gallican Royalty. Designed to assist law enforcement where needed, the platium constables have outposts in many major cities of gallica and their members (named constables) are often the first in line to stop any threats to the nation and her people.
Its members are vetted by the church or other trusted organizations for moral integrity and swear an oath, to protect Gallica's laws, its people and the crown. They are then handed a badge, identifying them as platinum constables.
1) Free Lodging at any guard outpost in Gallica.
2) free use of the extended contacts network of the Platinum constables, allowing easy access to info-brokers, artisans, blacksmiths and traders of exotic goods and more.
3) Financial compensation for services rendered in the name of justice. You can send your superiors in the platinum constables reports of your actions and after being verified for their veracity you can get paid if your actions warrant it.
4) Ability to take on certain more "official" contracts. A city official may for example not be allowed to hire just any mercenary band, but they may be able to hire constables
5) An obligation to respond to emergency situations and protect gallican citizens. Members of the nobility or the higher ranks of constables may call upon lower ranking members during such times. Not responding to such a threat is a violation of your oath and may get your badge revoked. It is a constables duty to protect gallican citizens in emergency situations, whether that be by confronting the threat, aiding in evacuation or collecting information.
6) The Ability (and obligation) to alert the kingdom at large to emergency situations.
While not working under the orders of a city guard or other official, platinum constables are considered "on stand-by". They are not considered law enforcement and do not have the authority to enter houses without permission, for example. They do have the ability to arrest people like a lawful authority would if they witness a crime in progress.
They can also get permission from city guard or noble very easily, often just by asking. They will then be provided with a warrant granting them certain authorities for a time.

Ranking system
The Platinum Constables are organized into a hierarchy. The ranks denote combat experience and seniority in times of emergency. These following ranks are ordered from lowest to highest.Copper constables: Basic Troops. The solid and reliable foundation, these officers track down any criminal, heretic, mutant or other kind of threat to everyday people in defense of the realm. They are often recruited from soldiers, guards, temple acolytes or mercenaries.
Silver Constables: Veteran warriors. Experienced Troops, able and willing to deal with grave threats to the realm. A Team of Silver Constables can take down demons and dark magic users without outside help. Silver Constables are promoted from the copper rank, recruited for a spark of greatness and trained up or drafted outright in times of crisis.
Gold Constables: Elite Troops. Gold Constables are called on in times of emergencies. This rank is filled by honored paladins, grizzled veterans, elite marksmen, war-clerics and vetted mages. These fighters are sent as kill-squads into situations that would require small armies to solve ordinarily, to save villages from certain doom.
The Badge
The Badge of a platinum Constable is a silver-colored brooche that one can clip onto their clothing. It is a minor magic item that serves multiple purposes:Identification: Each badge is engraved with the owners name and rank. If the badge is ever stolen, it turns black.
Trustworthiness: If the wearer of such a badge commits a great evil (murder, rape, human sacrifice), it turns black. Naturally, Headquarters will learn of this and will have the person in question tracked, found and arrested.
Tracking: The headquarters of the platinum constables in the gallican capital have means to roughly locate any badge if the need arises, so long as the badge is somewhere on Haven.
The Badge actually functions by having a minor Malaci sealed inside, tasked with a very speciffic set of instructions.
History
The Platinum constables were first established by King Arthur Ortega.During the Gallican Civil war, many members of the constables fought on both sides of the war. Once the conflict came to an end, all constables were given amnesty so long as they renewed their oaths towards the new Monarch Magnus Athala IV.
