Sylvain
The unassuming country town of Sylvain, nestled between a sea guarded by merfolk and an enchanted forest. Most of the citizens live in bliss, unaware of the creatures they share their town with, or the magic surrounding it.
Demographics
Primarily human, but many small spirits can be found around Sylvain in back alleys, abandoned sites, etc. Individuals of different species (vampires, shapeshifters, etc) are somewhat rare. There are a few known skin-changer and werewolf packs.
Industry & Trade
Sylvain is known for its local produce, as the town itself is surrounded by farms. The agriculture focuses more on wheat, fruits, vegetables and by-products than it does meat. In addition to these farms supplying the town's stores, farmer's markets are held regularly. Small, individually-owned farm shops can be found on the outskirts, usually attached to the farms themselves.
Due to its close proximity, Sylvain's main import of fish and seafood is Crescent. In turn, Crescent also imports some of Sylvain's farm produce.

Architecture
The town itself is fairly modern and standard by design, with some older-looking buildings such as the high school, the town hall, churches, etc. Apartment blocks are common within the town centre. Sylvain has a lot of trees and greenery, and has a large park near the town centre.
Geography
The town is built around Lake Faulkner, with a bridge across the river. Most of the buildings, including the main shops, town square, schools etc. are on the north side of the lake. Sylvain is settled within green hills and flanked by forests to the east and south. The town is known for its beauty in the colder months, largely due to the colours in autumn and the town's decorative lights in winter. Crown Forest, the second largest of the nation's protected forests and woodlands, is located to the east.
Natural Resources
Sylvain's surrounding forests are protected, but many people make use of the river for transportation and water-based energy production.
