Tumble's Log (Session 1)
Start in a carriage with Elf (Mhaenal - Bernas) and Wolf guy (Alistair).
More people inside including orc granny that is knitting.
Attacked by 3 bandits on the road.
I intimidated one (crit!) and then the three of us killed them.
Granny orc thanked us and, after arriving to town, took us to the Squeaky Duck franchise tavern where her grandson (Charles?) [The name is actually Christopher] works.
Alistair got a free meal, M got a meal but insisted on paying and I asked for a table near the window to enjoy the sunlight and the sights.
Ohio Jack, an explorer, approached us with a proposal to explore a mystical continent with a species of elf that is said to be only a myth (30GP advance pay each).
He insists that the only way to make the trip is on Grivv's ship and that he asks for an outrageous price to make this trip.
We get free rooms from Charles [Actually Christopher] (for saving granny) and rest for the night.
I enjoyed the night view while communing with Nothing (my god).
On the next day Ohio Jack met us and took us to the dock.
Alistair tried bargaining with Grivv and got rejected (and made it so that Grivv increased security with 1 more guy).
Ohio Jack suggested that we make a plan to take the ship.
Alistair keeps talking uselessly with people on the dock getting useless information.
We wait until night to attack when only Grivv and his right-hand man are supposed to be there.
As we approach the dock we see one guy on the boat and the lights on in the warehouse.
I pretend to be drunk while approaching the plank of the ship (darkgull) with Alistair (who even brings a bottle in his hand).
I stab the sailor in the boat in the throat, catching him by surprise.
M is sneaking nearby, ready to shoot if necessary.
I crit an do triple damage, instantly severing him cleanly in half.
We start getting the ship ready to go.
I cut a rope while M gets started getting the sails up.
After I cut the first of 3 ropes, one guy approaches the base of the dock and asks the sailor what is taking so long. I successfully deceive him and say a seagull crapped here and am just cleaning up.
M releases 1 of 2 sails while Alistair fails to release the other one.
I fray rope 2 of 3 while M fails to cut the last rope.
The guy gets closer and starts realizing that something is not right.
Alistair got ready near the rear plank to either push it out or attack whoever comes up.
I try to cut rope 2 of 3 and fail, chipping the tip of my finger and manage to deceive the guy to come aboard to check the state of a rope.
M joins Alistair hiding near the plank.
The guy gets aboard and is attacked by M and Alistair.
M hots the guy while Alistair fails miserably doing 6 DMG to M.
The guy screamed, warning the people inside the warehouse and attacks Alistair.
Grivv and 1 more person start making their way from the warehouse to the ship.
I hit the guy after throwing away the last plank.
M hits the guy, smashing his head and killing him.
Alistair fails to cut the frayed rope.
I manage to cut the weakened rope with such might that the longsword gets thrown and cuts the the last rope too.
M tries to cut the grappling hook rope thrown by Grivv while he tries to climb aboard and fails. Alistair also fails.
I try to release the grappling hook but fail. I scream a threat to Grivv to intimidate him but he continues climbing.
M successfully frees the last sail and gets the ship going.
Alistair fails to release the hook.
Grivv gets on board.
Alistair grazes Grivv slightly damaging him.
M does frostbite hitting Grivv.
I fail to hit Grivv.
Grivv tries to attack Alistair and fails and tries to hit me and also fails (Ha Ha!).
Alistair grazes again.
M whips Grivv very aggressively.
I fail again and Grivv says "Did you really think this would work for you?"
Alistair hits Grivv, leaving him looking damaged and heals using second wind.
M crits again, whipping Grivv to death.
We loot the 2 smugglers and Grivv and get 2x Scimitars, 2x Short Crossbows, 2x Basic Supplies, a bag with 50GP, 2 potions of healing (1d12) and a map of smuggling routes.
We level up (out of character information) and end the session here.
