Destruction of Iterlin

As a result of Fate's Bane killing Scias, Lady Fate sent an army of angels to Iterlin to kill them before they could cause any more damage to her plans. The angels slaughtered citizens and burnt homes, leaving the settlement devastated.

Lady Fate instructed Fate's Bane to kill Scias while he was staying in Queen's Palace (a building in Iterlin), secretly believing that they'd die in the process.   Instead, Fate's Bane kills the queen (who was working with Scias and his cultists) as well as Scias. Fearful and angry, Fate sends angels to finish them off as their future presence would become a nuisance to her.   The party escapes via a magical gate before they could even spot an angel, leaving Fate's army with no one to specifically target. Believing that the party split up and fled into the city, the angels began to destroy as much of it as possible, leaving it in ashes.   Campaign 1: Fate's Warriors - Chapter 15: Queen's Falling (Journey to Iterlin Arch)
