Soul Eater
Basic Information
Anatomy
A creature's biology is almost completely untouched when becoming a soul eater, besides the digestive system which is replaced with several hearts (either synthetic or reanimated). These additional hearts don't function the same as a heart usually would, instead their purpose is to contain souls they've consumed.
Genetics and Reproduction
Soul eaters can reproduce normally but will produce non-eater offspring. Soul eater offspring have a chance of, instead of creating a new soul or gaining a soul yet to be alive, the offspring is born with a soul that the offspring's parent had consumed.
Growth Rate & Stages
Once the eater consumes their first soul the aging process ends. Creatures without souls can no longer heal naturally or magically and they age faster than normally.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Being without a soul, eaters have a much more difficult time perceiving ethereal beings. Magics such as invisibility would be more effective because of this if it weren't for the eater's other senses which make it much easier to locate living creatures.
