The Warmongers

“The two deadliest weapons a Warmonger can wield. A handshake, and a smile.”

The term “Warmonger” started as an indignity aimed at the political theorists, councilors, and career advisors trained in the Fairtofore College of Eloquence in Greyport’s Rose District.
With as humble of a beginning as the Bootstrappers (or so they claim), the Warmongers made their name lobbying for policy and advising mayors, governors, dukes and barons who couldn't afford Mamodon lore keepers. As the Fairtofore College’s reputation grew—and the Mamodon numbers dwindled—their influence among the nobility and royalty of the Azurian Empire became unmatched. With this influence and their proximity to Greyport, and by extension the Blackstone trade, the Warmongers were able ensure no policy, contract, or handshake involving blackstone (or the instruments of destruction they powered) would slip by without their express approval.
In modern times, the Warmongers broker technology for the Tinker’s Union (ensuring the gift of progress is bestowed only on the richest and most loyal), broker secrets and information for the other four families of Greyport, and stand as official advisors in both the capitol and most well off cities of Lestes.
