Qadal is a mere half of Esha’s whole, yet it is magnificent and terrifying in scale. The Alor’eshan made it their own and crafted that land and its people to their liking. Everos, Othos, Nevan, Etal, the Gismyrs and Semyrs among others- these locations were deliberately and passionately crafted from the primordial stretches of fissured magma which dominated the infantile world. Rivers and forests, moors and plains, along with mountains and swamps were born upon them. Finally, Qazun released the fruits of centuries’ labor; animals of land, air, and ocean scattered across the world and settled within its beautiful vistas. A perfect harmony was forged prior to mortality’s creation. Yet, the selfish desires of grandeur and overlordship prompted the Alor’eshan to sacrifice that peace in favor of sentient servants and worshippers. A unique era dawned in Qadal, the Awakening, unseen in Voryndal and the origin of the world’s later rivalries. Centuries have passed since those formative times; the world is now matured and vibrant. In turn, it is fractious and self-destructive! The region of Qadal became populated by the countless creations of the denizen Alor’eshan. These mortals created civilizations for themselves which began as disparate tribes and developed into coherent nations. In time, the nations planted an indelible mark upon the landscape, altering it with the rise and falls of their domains.
For an accurate comprehension regarding the realms of mortals in Qadal, one must explore each continent on its own terms. A generalized history merely addresses the superficial. Nations are created and destroyed through war; cultures trade with one another; knowledge and influences are diffused across the world through violence and non-violent means. The Eshan watch down upon all affairs. Yet, the civilizations of Everos are unique, such as the Corgastorian Ghetunbalastod, Lodesh yin Lodon, Ezondaorasyalar, Etayen ghalûn, and Nathrovayen fringe. Othos possesses the Eurobian Tresivar, Vestidian Koningir, Adazyar, the Demhezzar Hesedris, Grestar Volorich, Abatir Atamani, and Lothlander remanants. Nevan was once ruled by the Axodraharik realm of Yor’shagon and now prospers under the auspices of the Forideya Neyas Rekeyan. The enumeration of civilizations new and old is extensive. This section records the greatest and most significant from continent to continent. The present is favored over the past in this context, but some notes regarding the most ancient realms still remain.
The name of this book, the Marda Temhos, is derived from the Corgastorian dialect of Everosi which was dominant for over 2,000 years. It means ‘the Book of Peoples’ in reflection of the piece’s purpose.
