Ácolitus

In the beginning when there was nothing, there was Ácolitus. Known as the Light Bringer in the tongue of the Etayen, Ácolitus is the being that surpasses all others. Qadal and Voryndal, along with the celestial bodies exist with him, as he is the fabric of creation. During the first era, Olûn, or “the darkness”, he created the celestial bodies which grew into the Eshan. He, therefore, became their father. He is also the tragic figure of the First Feud, the fight between Aebaster and his allies against Ácolitus and his allies over the matter of mortal life. In the end, he was betrayed by Atûn, who stabbed him in the back and broke his mortal form. Shortly after, the Divine Mandates were established, which bound the Eshan and Ácolitus to remain outside the affairs of mortals. He took on new aucpices as “death” or “the gatekeeper”, who manages all souls before they pass onto the realms of the Eshan or continue to Éshabal.   Ácolitus’s legacy is characterized by the constant conflict in which he is embroiled. His children are a rebellious race and scorn the fundamental lessons which the Creator espouses. They despise him for it. In turn, his machinations became not endeavors of creation but attempts to subdue and out-maneuver his children, stealing the worship of their people and sowing dissent among them.
