21 - Drown

The rising sun illuminated a figure laying on the beach, motionless. Waves lapped at Sariel's legs as she lay prone in the sand. Suddenly, she started thrashing and coughing. Water spilled from her mouth as she violently expelled it, taking breaths where she could. When the water was gone enough, she took deep, rapid breaths, looking around with wide eyes.

The last thing she remembered was drowning. Did the currents carry her here? She was deep underwater though, she should've been dead. Still, it wasn't the first time Sariel had drowned, and it probably wouldn't be the last. Umberlee must been looking out for her. Or Tymora.

She groaned as she sat up, and heard thunder in the distance. She was on an island, or at least she thought she was. She could see a storm in the distance, toward some cliffs. Maybe she could get a better view from there.

After resting for a moment, she stood up, brushed the sand off, and began her journey to the cliff. Thankfully, she still had her dagger - just in case there were more of those creatures on the island. She hoped there weren't.
