Founding

With his newfound power and wisdom, Alaric sought to create a sanctuary for scholars, mages, and seekers of knowledge. At age 45 (507 AA), after seven years of preparation, he led a group of mages, scholars, and craftsmen to a secluded valley, infused with arcane energy, and began constructing Arcadia.
  The city grew rapidly, attracting talent from all corners of the world. Its floating towers, sprawling libraries, and enchanted streets became a marvel of magical civilization, a beacon of learning and enlightenment.
  Alaric established a Magister’s Council to help govern Arcadia, but his authority as the First High Magistrate was absolute.
