Era beginning/end
After the Kortola Impact 1,500 years prior, much of the world fell into a dark age, with many empires falling and rising from the ashes. Eventually this dark age ended with the reestablishment of global trade and exploration. This period also started the Ideological Revolution not comparatively long after
The Kortola Impact in 2811 AF sent the world into a sort of nuclear winter for 10 years, collapsing global agriculture and resulting in the downfall of many of the world's great empires of the time (namely the Issu Empire), in turn causing different small kingdoms to become more insular and shut down global trade, more focused on feeding their declining populations. By the 30th century agriculture in most parts of the world had returned to normal levels and the population started to increase again, but the kingdoms became preoccupied fighting one another than to focus on expansion and innovation, with perhaps the major exception being the Watabowi Empire, which managed to evade total collapse. Eventually this age ended with the reestablishment of global trade under the newly founded Markazi Empire in the 36th century, though this was the result of a centuries-long process.
