Tay the Breaker

Tay the Breaker was an Eiskjarl who is attested to in the Eiskjarl Cycle. He has the distinction of being the only known Eiskjarl to not be interred within the Jarlscairn, and the only known Eiskjarl whose death was never confirmed.

Tay the Breaker is the subject of various tellings, the most well known of which is by the bard Jeoph. The different tellings are remarkably consistent, with few bards deviating from the core narrative and only incidental details differing from bard to bard.
