Session 28: Drip. Drip.

General Summary

In the tunnels beneath the city of Velija, you were escorted by the sinister Watchward Sinara through the Treasure Trove to Vanya’s cell, and subsequently trapped in a cell of your own. Refusing to back down from a fight, the party attacked Sinara, who fought back in full force, utilising her pet projects as backup, including a flayed man, a man deprived of his five senses, and Captain Alexis Quain. Though the party put up a fight, Sinara and the reanimated Captain Quain took two lives. Upon her respective death, beaten and bloody and unable to meet the eyes of those she loved, Olechka uttered her final words, “It’s been good, guys…” before dying. Despite the tragedy, the party struggled on, eventually defeating Sinara and neutralising her twisted reinforcements, but not before Marcus’ life was cut short as well. As he was run through with Quain’s sword, Marcus assumed his final form, finally revealing his nature as a lycanthrope, and tore Sinara’s arm from its socket, blue luminescence spraying everywhere from the open wound. Completely remorseless, Sinara kicked Marcus’ body, enough to push the party into a final ditch effort, finishing off the woman by depriving her off her own senses, and crushing her head in with Luda’s steel-capped boots.
The remaining members of the party abandoned the gory scene, making their way to the next tier of the Treasure Trove, where Satzla had already caused severe scorching damage to the walls, and to the now-deceased prison warden. Before burning to death, the warden pressed a button behind him to page backup.
