A high-ranking captain of the Hieronian military, Alexis Quain takes pride in her work more than anything else. She is a pillar of the community, unwavering and unceremonious. She can be found standing in the corner at government events, one hand on her saber. Best known for her excellent posture, martial prowess, and nationalism rooted in misinformation and her own traumatising experiences on the frontlines.
Since birth, Captain Quain has only known war. Raised in a military family, discipline asserted itself as an important value in her life from an early age. After a fittingly disobedient adolescence, she wedded Hank Quain. Following their short honeymoon, she gave birth to Petunia Quain, and later, to Alexander. Hank died in battle the following year, and Alexis submerged herself in her work.
Her children are the one thing Alexis Quain sees as holding her back. No matter her half-hearted attempts, Petunia refuses to share her mother's interests. Some women are not meant for motherhood, and Alexis believes herself to be the posterchild of this notion.
Surrounded by the chaos of war, perhaps her inner turmoil will be drowned out.
