Tranke (tra-n-keh)
The Tranke (becoming) is a Tregule coming of age celebration which normally takes place when a Tregule is 14 or 15, when their transition from childhood into 'ule' (a period of adolescence when their biological sex develops). The Tregule in question are considered to have become people, instead of children.
Known as a Tranku for women, tranko for men and tranke for 'entule', the ceremony takes place over a period of three orbits of the smallest submoon.
Some transgender and nontrinary tregule will hold a second Tranke after completing their transition. This is sometimes referred to as the 'Lunke' (second coming)
History
Before genetic testing, it was impossible to know what biological sex a tregule would grow up to have. Even nowadays, genetic testing is rarely initiated, so this ceremony celebrates finally knowing the gender of
Execution
The ceremony begins when the new ule informs their family that their transition has been completed.
Father, I have settled. I am an entuleThe family will often gather around immediately afterwards, with family members not present contacted and informed of the change. In traditional families, the mother is sometimes contacted and informed that her child is now a person. The ule will have prepared for this ceremony for at least a year, and will probably know what texts they would like to read out. These are culturally important scripts and differ from family to family. They are given an option of what to choose, and some will even choose specific texts based on the sex they develop. The first evening will be marked with a feast, followed by cake. Then the family will dance away the night, often crashing in the early hours of the morning. The second day begins with a large breakfast, before the family officially give the new ule their adult name. This will stay the same for entule.

You have settled as a man, and to mark your transition from childhood into manhood, we welcome you into our arms as Olapu.The third and final day consists of the giving and opening of presents. Each family mmber will present two presents, and the new person can choose to open one from each. The remaining presents are saved for when the reah adulthood at 20.
Components and tools
The new person will generally read passages from culturally important scripts, partake in dancing, and be given gifts by family members.
Family members will often cook foods like cake for the ceremony.
Participants
The young person's family will always be present. On occasion some friends may also be present.
Observance
Three orbits of the inner submoon, starting as soon as the young person announces that their transition from childhood to ule is complete.
